Shopping for fireworks online works a little differently than ordering, say, a book or a t-shirt. Here are the answers to the questions we get most often. If you don't see your question, please reach out through our contact page.

Orders & Pickup

How does ordering work?

You place your order and preauthorize your payment online, then pick it up and complete payment in person at your selected TNT Supercenter. We don't ship fireworks — everything is reserved for in-store pickup. Once your order is picked and ready, you'll get an email with pickup instructions.

What do I need to bring when I pick up my order?

Two things:

A valid photo ID — the name must match the order and confirm that you're of legal age to purchase fireworks in your state.
The physical credit or debit card you used at checkout — the card number is verified at the register to complete the transaction.

Can I have my order shipped to me?

No. Federal and state regulations restrict how consumer fireworks can be moved, so we don't ship product to customers. Every order is held for in-store pickup at the Supercenter you select at checkout.

How long until my order is ready?

Please allow up to 2 hours for our team to pick your order. Orders placed within 2 hours of closing time may not be picked until the next business day. You'll get an email the moment your order is ready.

Why can't I pay with Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, TNT Supercenter E-Gift Card, or a Zip Card?

At pickup, we have to verify that the physical card used to pay matches the order. Pay-over-time services issue virtual card numbers that aren't tied to a physical card you can present, so we can't accept them. Please use a standard credit or debit card you have in hand.

What if something I ordered is out of stock when you go to pick it?

Fireworks inventory moves quickly, especially close to the holiday. If an item you ordered isn't available at your pickup location, our team will substitute an item of equivalent value so you don't go home short.

Why does product availability change between stores?

Each Supercenter is stocked independently — what's on the shelves in one state can differ from the next based on local regulations, demand, and shipments. The site shows stock based on the store you've selected as your pickup location. Change your store on the locations page to see what's available near you.

What are Register Specials?

Register Specials are limited-time deals that show up on the checkout page. They're an easy way to add a few extra items to your order at a great price before you complete your purchase.

Where can I pick up my online order?

Online orders are only available for pickup at TNT Supercenter locations — our flagship stores that carry the full product line. They're not available at TNT stands, tents, or chain-store kiosks. Find a Supercenter near you at the TNT Fireworks Store Finder.

Are Supercenters open year-round?

Yes, several TNT Supercenters are open year-round! Others operate seasonally, with extended hours around the 4th of July and New Year's. Each store on this site shows its current open dates — if a seasonal store is between seasons you won't be able to place an order at it. Find your Supercenter with the TNT Fireworks Store Finder.

Can I order online for pickup at a stand or tent?

Yes, you can order from TNT Stands & Tents via a separate site. Find your Stand or tent via the TNT Fireworks Store Finder. to get started!

Gift Cards

Can I use a TNT Supercenter gift card to pay online?

No. Gift cards are accepted in-store at TNT Supercenters only. They can't be used as payment on shop.tntfireworks.com. TNT Supercenter E-Gift Cards are sent via email. Bring a digital or printed copy of your E-Gift Card with you to the register when you shop in person.

Where can I redeem a TNT gift card?

Only at participating TNT Supercenter locations. Gift cards cannot be used at TNT stands, tents, chain-store kiosks, or any third-party retailer. Find your nearest TNT Supercenter at the TNT Fireworks Store Finder.

How is the gift card delivered?

Gift cards are electronic and sent by email to the recipient address you enter at checkout. No physical card is mailed. Please double-check the email address — we can't be responsible for delivery to an incorrect but valid email address.

What are bonus dollars?

During limited-time promotions, gift cards are loaded with extra spending power on top of what you pay — that's a bonus dollar promotion. The bonus is added to the card balance automatically; you'll see exactly how much extra you're getting on the gift card you select. When a promotion isn't running, gift cards are loaded at face value.

Can I reload, return, or get a refund on a gift card?

Gift cards are non-reloadable, non-returnable, and non-refundable. They can only be redeemed for cash where required by state law. For the full details, see the Gift Card Terms & Conditions.

How do I check my gift card balance?

While Supercenters cannot directly check your balance, Gift Card balances are shown on your receipt after use at a TNT Supercenter. Remember to save your receipts to keep track!

Safety & Age Requirements

How old do I have to be to buy fireworks?

The legal age to purchase consumer fireworks varies by state. By placing an order you're certifying that you're a U.S. resident and of legal age to buy fireworks where you'll be picking them up. We verify ID at the register, so come prepared.

Can someone else pick up my order for me?

No. Because the ID and physical credit/debit card both have to match the name on the order, only the person who placed and paid for the order can pick it up.

Your Account

How do I check my order status?

Sign in and visit Account › Orders to see all of your recent orders and their status — from Processing to Ready for Pickup to Completed. You'll also get email updates at each milestone.

What does each order status mean?

Processing — we've received your order and our team is picking it.
Ready for Pickup — head to your Supercenter with your ID and the card you paid with.
Gift Cards Delivered — the gift card portion of your order has been emailed to its recipient.
Completed — you've picked up your order. Enjoy!
Cancelled — the order was cancelled before pickup. If you have questions, contact us.

Why am I getting signed out?

For your security, sign-in sessions last 7 days. After that you'll need to sign in again. If you're picking up an order and didn't bring your phone, you don't need to be signed in — just bring your ID and payment card.
